Basic stuff and forgets to mention that a lot of these blogs have rel="nofollow" attribute. Such Links don't matter to google.

How can you tell if a nofollow attribute is on?

The only way that comes to mind is search existing blogs that link and view the source.

Lostleader- To tell if the nofollow attribute is on, you can download an seo plugin for firefox that highlights nofollow links in red. You can probably find the plugin with a google search, as I've seen it a couple of places. Just can't remember exactly where at the moment.

While I enjoyed how simple the information is. when I used the technique even without the specified subject I only get 1-2 links

Not very helpful. maybe Google has found a way to limit this type of search. or 99.9% of all sites don't let you use the You must be logged in to make it work.
